Refund Policy

Plain-English summary

Try North free for 7 days. If you cancel before the trial ends, you're not charged a rupee. After the trial converts, you can cancel any time — your access continues till the end of the period you've paid for. We refund full payments made by mistake or in cases where we've failed to deliver service for which you paid.

1. 7-day free trial

All new paid subscriptions to North Co-Pilot start with a 7-day free trial. We collect a payment method at sign-up via our payment partner Razorpay, but we do not charge it during the trial. If you cancel before Day 7 from Settings → Billing, no charge is made and no refund is required.

2. Auto-renewal of subscriptions

If you do not cancel before the end of the trial, your card on file will be charged for the plan you selected (default: Starter ₹499/month) on Day 7. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until cancelled.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then. We do not pro-rate refunds for mid-cycle cancellations on monthly plans, since the service has already been provided for the unused portion of the period.

4. Refund eligibility

You may request a refund in the following circumstances. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7-10 working days of approval.

4.1 Eligible for full refund

  • Duplicate charge. If you've been billed twice for the same period due to a technical error, the duplicate amount is refunded in full.
  • Mistaken charge after cancellation. If you cancelled before the trial ended and we charged you anyway, we refund the charge in full.
  • Failure to deliver. If a paid feature you specifically signed up for has been unavailable for more than 7 consecutive days due to a fault on our side, we offer a pro-rated refund on request.
  • Annual plan cancellation within 14 days. Annual subscribers may cancel within 14 days of payment and receive a pro-rated refund for unused months (rounded up).

4.2 Not eligible for refund

  • Cancellation of a monthly subscription mid-period (you retain access through period end).
  • Annual subscriptions cancelled after 14 days from payment (you retain access through period end).
  • Failure to use the Services during a paid period.
  • Violations of our Acceptable Use policy that resulted in suspension or termination.
  • Underlying third-party service outages (e.g., Zoho or Gmail downtime) beyond our reasonable control.

5. How to request a refund

Email billing@get-north.in from the email address registered to your account. Please include:

  • Your account email and organisation name;
  • The Razorpay payment ID or invoice number of the charge in question;
  • A brief description of why you are requesting a refund.

We acknowledge requests within 2 working days and resolve them within 7 working days. If we approve a refund, Razorpay processes it back to your original payment method within 5-10 working days.

6. Payment disputes

If we are unable to resolve a billing dispute via the process above, you may raise a complaint with our payment processor:

7. GST treatment

All North invoices are issued by Finasa Lifestyle Private Limited with applicable GST (currently 18%). For approved refunds, the GST portion is refunded along with the base amount, and a credit note is issued. Customers registered under GST may claim input tax credit per applicable rules.

8. Annual plan downgrades / upgrades

Plan upgrades within the same billing cycle are charged on a pro-rated basis at the next renewal date. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal (no refund of the difference between plans for the current period).

9. Account closure data export

Whether or not your cancellation involves a refund, you can export all your data from Settings → Export before closing your account. After account closure, data is deleted per our retention schedule.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes are notified to active subscribers by email at least 30 days in advance. Refunds for any payment made before the change will be governed by the policy in effect at the time of payment.
