These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer" or "you") and Finasa Lifestyle Private Limited, a private limited company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office in India ("North", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, clicking "I agree", or using the Services, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. In that case, "you" refers to that entity.
North is a software-as-a-service finance platform that connects to your existing accounting systems (such as Zoho Books or Tally), helps you operate financial workflows via chat / voice / WhatsApp, and produces drafts of accounting entries, GST computations, and other outputs that you (or your Chartered Accountant) review and approve.
The Services are made available at get-north.in, copilot.get-north.in, and any future domains or applications we operate under the "North" brand.
We offer a 7-day free trial for paid plans. At sign-up, we collect a payment method via Razorpay but do not charge it during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card on file will be charged for the plan you selected (default: Starter ₹499/month) at the end of Day 7.
Subscriptions are auto-renewing. Monthly plans renew every 30 days; annual plans renew every 12 months. You may cancel at any time before the next billing date from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period.
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and exclusive of applicable taxes including GST (currently 18%). You authorise us (and our payment processor) to charge the payment method on file for all fees due.
Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy.
If a payment fails, we will retry the charge over a 7-day grace period. During this period, paid features may be temporarily suspended. If the payment cannot be collected, we may downgrade your account to the Free plan.
We may change subscription prices on 30 days' written notice. New prices take effect on your next renewal. You may cancel before the new price applies.
You agree not to use the Services to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
You own your data. You retain all rights, title, and interest in the financial and business data you upload or that North reads from your connected accounting systems ("Customer Data"). We claim no ownership of Customer Data.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, and display Customer Data solely as necessary to provide the Services to you. This licence ends when you delete the data or terminate your account, subject to legally required retention.
We own the platform. The Services, software, models, prompts, documentation, and brand (including the "North" name and logo) are owned by Finasa Lifestyle Private Limited and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services per these Terms.
Feedback. If you give us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback to improve the Services without any obligation to you.
North works with third-party services including Zoho Books, Tally, Google (Gmail), Razorpay, and WhatsApp. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behaviour of third-party services, except as expressly stated.
North is built by Chartered Accountants and follows Indian accounting standards (Schedule III, GST law, TDS provisions), but neither the Services nor their outputs constitute professional, legal, accounting, or tax advice. You bear full responsibility for the accuracy of your books and any returns you file. We strongly recommend working with a qualified Chartered Accountant.
We provide the Services "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate. AI outputs may be incorrect or incomplete. Always verify critical numbers before acting on them.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Finasa Lifestyle Private Limited, its affiliates, or its personnel be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ₹10,000 (INR ten thousand).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for (i) fraud or wilful misconduct, (ii) death or personal injury caused by negligence, or (iii) any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Finasa Lifestyle Private Limited, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (c) your Customer Data or the use you make of it through the Services.
You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Account. Termination takes effect at the end of the current billing period (no pro-rated refund unless required by our Refund Policy).
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately on written notice if (a) you materially breach these Terms and do not cure the breach within 7 days, (b) we reasonably believe your use poses a security risk or violates law, or (c) any payment is more than 14 days overdue.
On termination, we will delete Customer Data per the schedule in our Privacy Policy. You may export your data at any time before termination from Settings → Export.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat of arbitration shall be Bengaluru, India. The language shall be English. The arbitrator shall be a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by the parties (or, failing agreement, appointed under the Act). Subject to arbitration, courts in Bengaluru shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance by email and by an in-app banner. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
